This one was a changeup. The other one was a slider, both down and in. You never go up expecting to hit the ball out, but I'm a low-ball hitter.

I have to be ready. I am going to do anything they want me to do here. I need to show them what I can do. I'm not going to be thinking that I'm just a bench guy. I have to concentrate like I'm an everyday guy. Every chance I get, I have to show what I can do.

I was in shock. I was happy, though. (Arizona) didn't have the confidence in myself. They were looking to trade me and I came here to Chicago. It is going to be good for me.
