Cesar took genuine pride in producing numerous converts to vegetarianism over the decades. You?re looking at one of them. He felt so strongly about it that sometimes I think he took as much personal satisfaction from converting people to vegetarianism as he did to trade unionism.

This does really provide a model for guest workers to be treated with dignity. But also at the same time, for agricultural employers to ensure they have the workers to get their crops harvested.

This is the first national agreement that we're aware of that's ever dealt with H-2 A workers or guest workers in this country.

The fact there is a Latino on the ballot adds a level of excitement to the race, so Latinos will be looking at it. But they are willing to vote their interest and they are willing cross party lines.
