This is the right thing to do. It's the right time to do it.

The predicate for this entire budget ... is the tobacco settlement. There isn't a bigger question mark in this Congress right now than whether that will ever occur.

At a time when millions are displaced and seeking federal and state assistance, we believe it is inappropriate to move forward on ... a legislative package that would cut funding for Medicaid, food stamps ... housing and education.

All grades, all students count for the first time in four years. There's a lot of wondering about that right now because it expands the opportunity for failure or for success.

It was being in the right place, the right time, I guess. It could have been a lot worse.

This is right up there with one of our best team efforts.
