This is the most prestigious and most cherished because it's not about wins and losses, it's about a commitment to and for women and to help them become all they can become,

Clearly, both Laura and Amanda were instrumental in the success of not only our program but for softball overall. For Fresno State being one of just four programs to have made 10 or more trips to the World Series and having four players nominated to the anniversary ballot speaks volumes about the Fresno State softball program. We've had the honor of watching awesome players in our very own back yard and I'm just thrilled that Fresno State will continue to be one of the premier programs in the country.

Jamie is the epitome of what the award means. She is at the top academically, athletically and, in the community, has represented herself and her institution with great pride. I am very proud of Jamie for this honor and congratulate her for such perseverance and dedication to her career as a softball player and teacher.

What I think is so special about this honor is its not so much about the records and championships but how someone has affected others through sports. Its an extremely prestigious award and Im very humble to receive. It goes to all those athletes whove made life worthwhile.

To be successful at a sport it takes dedication and commitment.

He did everything he could and did it with the utmost professionalism and commitment.
