This is the driest, longest dry spell we've had since the drought of the 1950s, and back then we didn't have as many people. It's unlikely it will improve before the summer.

We'll be flirting with freezing each morning into early next week.

Through yesterday, our average temperature was a full nine degrees above normal. That's pretty extraordinary.

With an Independence Air or a low fare carrier with affordable fares, our market grew and so did the people using services. So it means business when fares are affordable for every airline here.

Independence Air worked really well here. They may have not succeeded nationally but we were in their top 10 cities and we were the largest city in their top 10 cities so our people supported it so well.

Just because we had Independence in the market, we didn't stop looking for (another) low-fare carrier.
