This is outrageous. This is a grave punishment.

The judge of the Moscow City Court refused to review proceedings when we appealed, without citing a single reason.

We have appealed with the Supreme Court on the same grounds: we are asking for the sentence to be overturned as [it is] illegal and unsubstantiated.

The reply to our appeal says that there is no reason to review the verdict.

I have filed a complaint with the Moscow City Court chairwoman, particularly about the refusal to open a review of proceedings.

This is outrageous. Prison authorities said he was simply drinking tea where he should not have been.
