This is academics in action, purposeful learning. We need to teach kids to give and to help others.

Because, after all, many parents are at a loss to help their kids in this subject.

Many of these volunteers have come on their day off and on their free time to help make these kids dream come true in a day.

The guide to action will help us avoid recreating the wheel. We look forward to learning from the experiences of other states what works and which policies yield the biggest bang for the buck.

I was trying to help kids take a real interest in the world and find kid-shaped solutions to serious problems.
