This is a tragedy for the church. But that being said, it's a good thing the investigations are getting started, and it's a good thing if we're getting closer to the truth.

The concern is that there were essentially two budgets for the church -- one public and one private. No one knew the private one even existed. No one even knew about the grants. We want to know where the money went. And only an investigation will tell us.

He knows he could never make amends for that tragedy.

This is like a Greek tragedy.

Any city that only tries to preserve itself is already dead. The great tragedy would be to embalm New Orleans by simply rebuilding it the way it was.

Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the families affected by this tragedy. We are stunned by this senseless act of violence, which has taken a great man and friend of our family.
