This is a good turnout for the first conference. Many people may have had other commitment.

We also will have people on hand to discuss the grieving process, and how children react at certain ages. We also will have training available for people who want to join the speakers' bureau. Many survivors want to go out and share their stories.

The time commitment is an 11-month-a-year job.

This year, we have a number of the children of firefighters who died at the World Trade Center who are now college age. And there are still so many small children remaining.

Education has been shortchanged in the legislative process. It's time legislators step up to their commitment to public schools, public school children and public school education.

This decision is a manifestation of our
commitment to the Constitution and social justice.
