We wanted students to be able to download music legally.

Some universities run their billing internally and are able to charge, say, $6 per month while paying CDIGX only $3.49. It was possible for UMKC to make a profit in this way. We chose direct billing through CDIGX in order to give students the lowest possible price.

The fact of it is you get to sit and soak things in. It appeals to interests students have, rather than subjecting them to something they have to take.
