This I say is the present moment; this is the first day of the summer holidays. This is part of the emerging monster to whom we are attached.

Fiction is like a spider's web, attached ever so slightly perhaps, but still attached to life at all four corners. Often the attachment is scarcely perceptible.

I can only note that the past is beautiful because one never realises an emotion at the time. It expands later, and thus we don't have complete emotions about the present, only about the past.

Be present and in the moment.

The present moment is significant, not as the bridge between past and future, but by reason of its contents, which can fill our emptiness and become ours, if we are capable of receiving them.

If we are ever to enjoy life, now is the time, not tomorrow or next year...Today should always be our most wonderful day.
