They were so happy to have an instrument of their own to play. It was really amazing.

They have the same fears and pressures as adults and nowhere to channel this energy. Music gives them an outlet for this energy, and helps them find a way to relieve stress, while having fun.

Being able to make music again with these instruments has meant a great deal to these students and their families, as well. The more 'normal' we can make it for our kids the better.

Music helps you feel better and it's healing. So these kids will actually have something to look forward to and have a band instrument to play.

It's all part of the process of immigration. It's a wave of technology that's enabled immigrants to continue to play a more direct role in the lives of their families at home.
