They lost quite a few seniors (from last year), but when you're a state champ you're still the state champ until somebody beats you. We know it's going to be tough. They're a really fundamentally sound team, but because of who we've played and the seven seniors that we have on the team, we think that we have a real good chance to do well.

My goal all year has been to be a state champ. That's what I'm going for.

Going into senior year, I was hoping to be a state champ and I fell short?but you can't look back.

We should do well. Ward lost a lot of seniors from last year and we split with Santa Fe Trail. Even the teams we lost to last year, we split with. If we can beat Ward, Santa Fe Trail and Mill Valley, we should have a legitimate chance.

Well, it's no different than playing at Ohio State last year. Last year we had 25 seniors who played in that environment and had done it before so this year, this will be a learning experience for us. My advice to the players will be to enjoy the moment. Don't get uptight. These are the things you've dreamed about as a young person growing up. Enjoy the experience, live it and play hard.

Everyone is going to say 'I want to be state champ. You only get so many shots at the finals.
