They have some exciting and interesting ideas and we plan to continue to speak with them.

There are lone figures armed only with ideas, sometimes with just one idea, who blast away whole epochs in which we are enwrapped like mummies. Some are powerful enough to resurrect the dead. Some steal on us unawares and put a spell over us which it takes centuries to throw off. Some put a curse on us, for our stupidity and inertia, and then it seems as if God himself were unable to lift it.

What this finding reflects is the dissonance of today's reality and yesterday's old ideas. There's the assumption that family for women detracts from work while for men it supposedly enhances their viability and stability.

The exhibition is not just about art, but about life. The ideas in the exhibition relate to so many aspects of everyday life, as well as animating works of art across a huge range of media. Swarms are not controlled by a central plan or leader; they operate according to small local interactions, where individual agents don't have a picture of the global system, and yet they are building. This is like so much in our lives, from political movements and opinion-making to traffic jams and how crowds move.

I thought I had swell ideas, and wonderful musicians, but the hell of it, no one else did.
