They had state people out here monitoring, but nothing got done until we made those calls to Civil Defense yesterday, so it's frustrating.

The state, I think, needs to just be a little bit more proactive -- monitor the bridges more often and do something about it, not wait until these disasters happen all the time.

We're very grateful that they're finally getting it cleaned out.

That is not to say that we can relax our readiness to defend ourselves. Our armament must be adequate to the needs, but our faith is not primarily in these machines of defense but in ourselves.

All monitoring is indicating there is nothing in the air that would be harmful.

We have to be realistic. The state, we think, can help some. It's not going to be able to do it all.
