They don't require a lot of care. Benign neglect is the best way to grow them.

They'll likely need a little care in their first season but they can stand some neglect. Once established, they require little attention. Just see that they get water when they need it and some slow release fertilizer.

The pressure is there because there's been benign neglect. We know it's decaying. We know it's not safe.

It's a fun hobby. Jack-in-the-Pulpit is an orchid and they're out there.

I still kill them (by over watering).

I don't have any idea what he paid me - he didn't have to pay me. To me it was a thrill of a lifetime.
