They are original and ecologically correct furniture. We don't put down trees, but we reuse authentic materials, available to make our pieces.

Each child receives their money and may keep it if they like. When they have to leave the home - by law, they can only stay in orphanages until they're 17 years old - they'll have money and know how to do something.

We opted for leaving these marks. If it is a table, the most interesting part of the wood goes for the top, for example.

The original furniture had been sold off, and we tracked it down and measured and replicated it. It was incredibly expensive to buy back. For example, a reclining chair sold for $10,000 about 10 years ago.

If we have authentic, honest, earthy materials in our houses, we'll be more authentic, honest and natural.

Also, ecologically, when you're more oxygenated, you're in better shape.
