They all always start as an acoustic, living room chorus-and-verse kind of idea.

We've always had that living room, write-the-song-on-an-acoustic sound. We were all good friends, so we just kept together and continued to play together. We'd play shows. We didn't have a new band name or anything. Things just began to take shape. The music thing just fell into place.

Lately, I love creating ideas on my acoustic guitar. I sit in my living room for hours trying different chords.

It's something we've really been looking forward to. We're not sure yet about the results for us. It's a new thing.

I was just a punk-rock kid who never played acoustic guitar.

I never really enjoyed playing acoustic before. But now I really kind of like it. I find myself playing in that style a lot more. I still deep down prefer playing electric guitar. There is a lot of energy there. But it is great to be able to sit on a stool and play and be able to showcase your musical ability over having to put on a show.
