These were good friends -- knew each other since they were 9. Never fought. It should be a lesson to other youths.

There was no animosity, no arguing, nothing that would indicate ill-will between these parties. No intent.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of weapons kids have access to. It wasn't any intent -- it was an accident.

They recognize that it was an accident and they want to help each other through the difficult time.

The format of playing just one game a day makes this trip so much more attractive to our players' families. There's the beach, the various amusement parks and the weather. It's all good in San Diego.

For the first game of the year, to have two teams playing like that, that's pretty impressive.
