There's so much character and history in that than there ever would be in a Wal-Mart.

We've been told by Wal-Mart that the decision would be made on a store-by-store basis based on demand. The NRA and our members will be watching closely to make sure they stay true to their word.

We don't think there is any reason to continue investigating Wal-Mart in Pennsylvania. We think they are doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Our goal is to preserve and protect the history of the neighborhood, the character of the neighborhood. Clarksville is on the national register of historic places. It's a historically black neighborhood. It's the first freedman's town west of the Mississippi.

The show is not a history lesson. Yet it is the citizens of Winchester that give our town its character and make it a wonderful place to live and work. We hope we have captured our hometown pride in this show.

This is Louisiana history reflected in its cultural landscape, ... When they are preserved, they can add to the character of a neighborhood immediately.
