There's no end to it. More people are going there, more casualties everyday. We're not getting better. Everyday, they're getting strong.

Every agency is going to tell you they are doing important things. But if we close our doors, literally hundreds and hundreds of people in Metropolitan Detroit will go blind. That's the impact we have on our community. People depend on us to save their eyesight.

These folks that receive priority hire, when they hit the streets, they will be no less qualified than any other trooper,

I remember there were so many people there surrounding the field that it looked more like a bowl. We didn't win that game, but it served as a wake-up call for our kids. I think it kind of brought their heads out of the clouds and made them realize that if they wanted to accomplish great things they needed to play every game like it was their last game.
