The surface does matter. You can stay in a little more of a dynamic position. You get more out of your running.

Why is luge a sport? You dress up like a giant sperm and go sledding really fast. That’s hardly athletic. Phallic and sexy, yes. But hardly athletic.

Since the summer, Markko has been happier at the wheel of the 307 WRC and the engineers at Peugeot Sport have a clearer understanding of the sort of set-up that suits him.
