There's a lot of talk about 11. I mean, the hole was intended to be played, according to Bobby Jones, with a 3-iron or stronger club.

I'm sure if Bobby Jones was around he'd say, 'Hey, what are you guys doing?'.

Bobby Jones is a great addition to our program. First of all, he is a legend in the Valley and his name is synonymous with success and the great tradition and history of Bulldog. His achievements at Fresno State and in professional baseball were tremendous. Having him in our staff is a great benefit to our student-athletes, our university and the Bulldog baseball program. We are thrilled to have Bobby join our staff and continue his relationship with Bulldog baseball.

I want to say something about the changes and about bombers. We think that at 280 to 300 yards (off the tee at No. 1), there's all the room in the world. There's 290 yards to the bunker. And if someone wants to swing from the heels and hit it 330 or 340 or something like that, he'd better be accurate.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Charlie Yates. Charlie was an outstanding amateur golfer and a member who was linked to Bobby Jones and club's history, attending every Masters through 2003. He will be greatly missed.
