There will be no special discipline steps taken against students for participating in this protest.

Students have awakened. . . . The more the authorities crush us, the bigger our protest will be.

Our only position is that students need to be in school. We are not endorsing the protest.

As a district, we're very impressed with the organization the students showed; we appreciate their discipline. The district administrators made an appearance to support them — its shows them we're listening.

We've always dealt with unruly students. In the past, I think discipline was more severe and perhaps the code of conduct was followed more stringently.

We feel the discipline is lax and that the safety of the students is in question.
