There were no real spectacular efforts, just four or five kids stepping up when we needed it. That's what we're going to need each game to be successful this season.

It certainly shows the cupboards are far from bare down there.

We felt we needed more depth at the four and five spots. We've known since the end of last season and through training camp that we need to improve our rebounding and our depth up front.

Without Moss, Daunte has a few more options. He always had his four or five obligatory passes to No.84. I think it's freed him up a little bit. In preseason, he hit a lot of different receivers and he had a lot of success with it.

We're really coming into our own. But that's what happens when you've been together four or five years. The entire offense is trying to take our game to the next level.

There is just something about these kids that just draws you in, ... There is no better feeling than when the light goes on with these kids.
