There is no way whatsoever that we can take anything for granted and the players will know that.

While it was disappointing to lose the singles, the fact we had come back from a similar position the previous year to win gave us the belief that we could do the same thing again.

We were a touch fortunate, in fact, to win that one. It went to extra holes and their player missed a putt at the 19th to win it for them before Keith Nicholson came to our rescue - once again - at the next hole.

It will be a challenge. But during the election, we were clear about the five priorities we had and I think we'll have support in the House of Commons because people voted based on those.

There's really a strong push toward adoption here. I think we set a record at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, with so many adoptions that we had to ask other facilities to bring their animals to us.

The new development is what causes the need. If the new development doesn't come through, then Avenue 62 is fine the way it is. With all the new development we are going to need some infrastructure.
