There is no such thing as a sterile operating room environment. We make things as clean as possible, but most hospital surfaces still contain bacteria.

That's just not justified. That's a high-risk population in those hospital beds. We know many of them haven't been vaccinated, and when they go home, it doesn't happen. The goal is to vaccinate them while they're there so we don't miss the opportunity.

We don't expect any hospital to get to 100 percent on these measures. There are exceptions, and we recognize that. But if hospitals are below the national average, that's harder to explain.

Never say "Oops" in the operating room

The sterile, arid environment created by truly jarring and discordant signage and gargantuan billboards is a turnoff.
