There is no statewide tax revolt. Just cutting taxes ain't going to cut it. If you are in a competitive district, you better be for bringing more money to your local schools whether you are a Democrat or Republican.

No one's against reducing property taxes. But, if Pennsylvania wants to be a competitive state, why would you be the only state in the nation to tax advertising?

This would not cause an increase in taxes. Hopefully, we can avoid the issue of taxing for the next few years. This is not to say what would happen at the end of three years. We would have to revisit at that point and revenue enhancement (a tax hike) cannot be ruled out. We would have to see what is then the condition of the general fund.

We've got to stand up and put it (a bond issue) on the ballot... I've got to pay taxes like everybody else, but it will benefit us all, not just kids, the whole community. A school tells me what the community is like,

People had to take a loan out to pay their taxes. How are they going to pay for this?

The bond will raise property taxes about 10 percent, but it?s well worth it.
