There is no one who has had as much of an impact on my life.

What we found is that simply tagging a plant and measuring it weekly, over the course of a growing season, has a profound implication on the size of the plant. At the end, they tend to be smaller.

Once people realized they could tag and they could follow organisms it just became a standard method. And once anything becomes standard, people sort of forget that it is an invasive treatment and it might have implications on the animals being tagged.

We have all these wonderful life-saving devices ... air bags, etc., but none of it means anything if you're not secure inside the car itself.

In my life outdoors, I've observed that animals of almost any variety will stand in a windy place rather than in a protected, windless area infested with biting insects. They would rather be annoyed by the wind than bitten.
