There is more emotion playing defense, ... If you make
a mistake but are going hard, you can still be in the play. On offense,
there is more structure every down. On defense, you can play more on
instinct and athleticism.

We were geared up. We played with a lot of emotion and energy, and our defense was outstanding. Once we saw we could get a game from them, we just grew more and more confident as the night went on. Playing against a top conference opponent inspired us, and this game showed to me that we can be a force in the conference this year.

Our defense changed the emotion. That in turn enabled us to get quite a few transition points. Marea was all over the boards.

We did not play with any real emotion on defense tonight. Offensively, our line play was very good, but the two fumbles cost us.

This is a larger effort within the Defense Department for language studies and cultural awareness. There's a lot more emphasis. It started with the global war on terror. Our need for Arabic was greater than our capability.

My parents aren't giving any pressure on distance, ... This will be my decision, totally. It will be weird not having my parents
see me play every week, but I think that's a reality of going off to school
anyway.
