There is absolutely no reason to stay. There are no jobs, there are no homes to go to, no hotels. There is nothing here.

Imagine you stay in cheap hotels where the hot water doesn't work in the shower and you have to fiddle with the knobs to fix it. Sometimes it's too hot, sometimes it's too cold. And imagine you don't stay in the same hotel twice. That's the problem we face with monetary policy. It's crude, it's a fuzzy instrument and it's applied in a different circumstance every time.

There's no reason that there has to be a fringe network that illuminates an urban or a multiethnic experience.

Many of our residents work at these hotels and homes in Ipanema, so it's a bit strange to see the rich people and outsiders come through here --looking at our homes and streets. Normally, people stay far away from Rocinha, unless they're here to buy drugs, like many of the rich people do.

Arsenal jobs are really good. But do you really want to pick up and move to a whole new city and start all over from scratch?

Improving interstate access will allow industry in the Cullman area to continue and create new jobs. This project is an example of our efforts to create a strong partnership between the state, local governments and local industry to keep Alabama's economy moving forward.
