There is absolutely no reason this should be a poor country. Ellen has contacts and enormous credibility in the international community. She can make things happen.

I think few African countries could do what we have done in such a short time. Only two and a half years ago there were mortars raining down on Monrovia.

It gives us a symbol of credibility that they had not really given us. It pushed us up a notch in a lot of people's thinking.

The vice president and this administration have a credibility problem, ... Rather than giving our troops a plan to move forward in Iraq and changing their failed course, they continue to ignore the facts and lash out at those who raise legitimate questions about how the administration misused intelligence in its rush to war.

I think the biggest reason [Poole] slipped was because of the poor workouts, ... He didn't workout as well as everybody thought he would. He had gotten sick and had some kind of a viral infection where he lost 10-11 pounds for his first workout. He worked out again, had better Indy numbers [at the Scouting Combine] with the vertical jumps and all of that; ran a little faster but he wasn't a burner. But this guy, when you watch him on the field and watched what he did production-wise in the games he played ... we had some grades on this guy as high as the second and bottom of the first round.

This country cannot afford to be materially rich and spiritually poor
