There has never been a time in our military history where an enemy combatant or prisoner of war has been allowed access to federal court to bring lawsuits against the people they are fighting,

where judges do not protect us from having religion imposed upon us but rather declare war on religion.

We were children of the 1950s and John Kennedy's young stalwarts of the early 1960s. He told the world that Americans would "pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship" in the defense of freedom. We were the down payment on that costly contract, but the man who signed it was not there when we fulfilled his promise. John Kennedy waited for us on a hill in Arlington National Cemetery, and in time we came by the thousands to fill those slopes with out white marble markers and to ask on the murmur of the wind if that was truely the future he had envisioned for us.

My hobby was the military. I had been reading military history, especially as it relates to the Civil War and World War II. When I came to Virginia to go to school, I realized I was surrounded by the Civil War. It became my first love as a hobby.

The Yom Kippur War will always stand out in history as the major military event that helped save Israel from destruction.

I sense a groundswell happening of popular opinion against this war and against this administration. It's been a long time coming, and I'm glad to see it's happening.
