There can be no doubt the prime minister should seriously consider stepping down -- possibly as prime minister but certainly as home minister.

Under the circumstances, the government should agree to substantial damages.

He has not said what his role was. If he is responsible then he should be booked, and the sooner the better.

The attorney-general has to charge those responsible for the assault, however high they may be.

You don't sack someone and inform the king. Sacking is in the hands of the king on advice of course from the prime minister.

There is no doubt of the government's ability, commitment and desire to have a strong fiscal position and contain inflation, so we should wait and see how that strategy unfolds.
