Always stand on principle even if you stand alone.

There are people who like to be alone without feeling lonely at all.

This is not to say, there never comes a day I'll take my chances and start again. And when I look behind on all my younger times, I'll have to thank the wrongs that led me to a love so strong.

Oh what can ail thee, wretched wight, / Alone and palely loitering; / The sedge is withered from the lake, / And no birds sing.

The trouble is not really in being alone, it's being lonely. One can be lonely in the midst of a crowd, don't you think?
