The way we talk to our children becomes their inner voice.

Don't stand unmoving outside the door of a crying baby whose only desire is to touch you. Go to your baby. Go to your baby a million times. Demonstrate that people can be trusted, that the environment can be trusted, that we live in a benign universe.

It's better to be late...then late

I take a very practical view of raising children. I put a sign in each of their rooms: ''Checkout Time is 18 years.''

My inner child is not wounded.

When there is a voice inside that tells you that you could never do something, there should be enough of a dream and a self-confidence inside of you that tells you that you can do anything.
