The vistas are incredible. The Pacific Crest Trail runs right through her property for about a mile.

This historic ranch is highly visible and an important working landscape in the area. It?s a spectacular view ? from the creek bottoms to the rolling hills and up to the forest areas.

We're not anti-development. We're for balancing development with open space. Developers realize this aligns them with the people who are moving to our community. I think they realize how important this is.

There is so much private land within the boundaries of the Monument that we thought it was an important area to move into.

You never know what can happen. Just because it's a park now doesn't mean it will always be protected.

It was stupid of me to do that. I should have left it up there, but I'll be all right.
