The thing I keep coming back to with Eric is his attitude. You always hear that message about living every day; when you see somebody close to you, somebody young, in this situation, it really hits home.

Doubts are the messengers of the Living One to the honest. They are the first knock at our door of things that are not yet, but have to be, understood. Doubt must precede every deeper assurance.

I'm very, very happy. We showed good resiliency and a never-give-up attitude; we were tough and physical and grew up as a team tonight.

Kelsey has come back with a tremendous attitude this year. She has a learned a 10.0 vault since she got her, and we are having more success with her vault as she continues to practice. Beam is coming along as she is stepping that up, and bars and floor are going to be good once again. She is learning a lot and working hard.

Coach Williams gets in there with them and encourages them. There's no nonsense about his attitude and approach.

It was absolute silence in that room. Everybody was blown away by his message.
