The students have put in hundreds of hours after school to get ready. There was a group that came in and worked most of the day Saturday and Sunday. There were some people here (the other day) from 3 to 10.

Most of the students are familiar with the movie and the original musical. They thoroughly studied the background and the characters carefully.

To put on a musical costs $10,000 and up. Each production has something that makes it challenging. We ask ourselves how are we going to raise money to do a musical, but with different things we do, we find ways to pull it off.

Nontraditional students often have the misconception that aid is intended only for high school students entering college. Luckily, that's not the case.

We're starting to teach these students how to advocate for themselves, because we've seen a problem where they leave high school or their work environment and they don't have that assistance that they're used to. We weed them off a little bit, so once they're in the work world they can be their own person.

We're going to have to figure out a way for students to go through school faster so more can come in.
