The states are too high to continue down a dangerous path of diplomatic brinkmanship,

I came to listen and explore ways and means of intensifying the diplomatic efforts and try to achieve the objectives that have been set,

The United Nations, whose membership comprises almost all the states in the world, is founded on the principle of the equal worth of every human being.

There are now 11 women heads of state or government, in countries on every continent. And three countries -- Chile, Spain and Sweden -- now have gender parity in government.

The balance must be redressed.

We are going to work with the Congolese people and the government to make sure we make progress and consolidate peace and stability.
