The season has also given a reason to embrace umbrellas and rain boots. From the damp seats to the wet grass and blackened soil in the park, the rain has released a bunch of fresh smells. The charms of the wild rose, new-mown hay, baked bread, buttered popcorn, smell of coffee, frying bacon and the smell of rain hitting dry ground! Everything felt a little bit livelier. Best smell was rain itself. No smell at all but only a washing-away, a cleanness and yet another chance to start again.
