(The seniors) each got us six points; a forfeit's six points for the team. I just wish they could have wrestled on Senior Day.

Oh definitely, I think what if. The two finalists at 171, Scotty pinned one and beat the other 7-1. ... And I honestly fell we would have had two in the finals at 145 (with Schultz).

It's exciting. We were hoping to be able to take a few more to state than we are, but (having) 10 (kids) going to state and three region champions, you've got to smile about that. ... It's been a good tournament for us.

That was awesome to see, and it's great to see what we practiced (pay off) and to see the kids try it and be brave enough to try it in a match.

Those three in a row ... one-to-two-point matches and last-minute matches, those are heartbreakers for the team and those individuals who were planning on going to state.

The way everything went down last year was a little awkward for both of us just given the situation and how well the team ended up playing and how far we ended up going. It's one of those situations where the front office makes decisions. I was happy that I was able to finally get a chance to prove my worth as a starter.
