The Republicans succeeded in playing the terrorism card last time. We have to convince women that we Democrats are tough on terrorism.

I think it is time that Republicans and Democrats, using the Judiciary Committee, do an overall look at the FBI, an in-depth look,

Republicans and Democrats can agree that the time has come to bury the death tax deep in the ground where it belongs. The death tax is fundamentally unfair, it undermines the economy and it produces virtually no revenue after all is said and done. Americans know in their hearts that death should not be a taxable event and they look now to their senators in Washington to do what is right when this vote comes up in May.

At one time the Legislature was pretty evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats. But through redistricting, they managed to get rid of a number of women ... [who] were progressive.

It's not about how many women are running. It's about how many women are running where they have real opportunities to win.

I've also been mayor in a city that's five to one Democrats over Republicans. And I think I've been able to accomplish as much as any other mayor in the city, some people believe a lot more,
