The problems have been building up over years; the solutions will take years.

There are obviously still some problems out in the Gulf. We will have to wait and see how fast repairs can be made.

It's a slight concession by the administration to acknowledge that they heard our cries. It's not really going to pacify the people who are really angry, but it's a step in the right direction.

If a large number of staff decide to join a union, we'll continue to represent them.

The message is being heard. We're just not getting the answer people want to get.

We have a mechanism in place to do what a union claims it can do for us.
