The plaintiffs' attorney fees are going to reflect how the defense counsel in this case have persisted in drawing out this case and dragging it through the courts and running up costs ultimately for the taxpayers of Humboldt County.

I don't understand why a law enforcement agency that has abandoned the use of the application of chemical agents on nonviolent protesters for seven years needs to litigate this issue in pursuit of a judgment that will essentially void the jury's decision and give local law enforcement agencies free rein to use pepper spray when none is needed in light of the 100 percent success rates since abandoning the use of pepper spray.

I don't see how it could be under $1 million for that many trials and that many appeals.

We just had to keep playing hard. We started trapping the ball and they just threw it away. Our defense really helped our offense.
