The parents had a lot of fun, but they were real sore the next morning. They're not used to running the way the girls do during a game.

I saw the opportunity to do something for the entire city, not just a softball program, but also a place where girls can take pride in the sport, a healthy lifestyle and promoting the city through sports.

I never missed an opportunity to spread the word, and once they appeared at the field I sold the program. Eventually the girls that registered told friends and neighbors and it really took off.

Even when we weren't running good, we were having fun,

It's a nice place. They've been running [the tournament] for years, so it should be a lot of fun.

The offense is more fun for me than just running. The option attack is just about running the ball, and it worked. But this type of offense utilizes all your athletic ability, so I have taken the opportunity to let my ability take over.
