The oneness in Jesus Christ crosses all boundaries and separations. Anyone with the faith of Jesus Christ can immediately enjoy the innate oneness with another who has the faith of Jesus, regardless of differing political or doctrinal views.

It is natural and easy to be segregated and separated based on various differences. It is very difficult and even impossible, without the new birth and life in Christ, for people who are diametrically opposed to each other to become one.

We are all different expressions of one reality, different songs of one singer, different dances of one dancer, different paintings – but the painter is one.

Believers usually only have fellowship with those in their own church or group. This segregation is divisive. Intentional actions are needed to go visit and fellowship with believers that are not in their regular group. This greeting will grow the one fellowship of Jesus Christ which is the oneness of the body.

A person with ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed.

A believer with the fruit of the Spirit is certainly one with all the believers in the body, and a joy for all people to be around.
