The ocean's going to win each and every time, unless you just really go along with the current until it pushes you out, and then you swim back to shore. If you start to fight this, that's when you're in trouble.

I'm particularly looking forward to seeing all the people I never really had a chance to say goodbye to, ... I know a lot of the lads and they have got a lot of ability there. Unfortunately it was a bit tipped up in the air, a few of the players were sold and it has taken a little bit of time for them to adjust.

Cutting things and not going for it

There were a few players in the team with a certain reputation and we don't have that anymore.

[Wise and Bates were together at Chelsea for 11 years.] Leeds are doing fine at the moment, ... Obviously me and Ken Bates are very much associated. I don't want to comment on the speculation, I don't think it's fair. Kevin Blackwell is doing a job at Leeds and he is in charge. He's probably frustrated by a lot of speculation about a lot of things.

He's done nothing but positive at San Diego State and helped keep San Diego State alive the last few years (in athletics). We're talking about big money we have raised for San Diego State, and at times when they weren't winning a lot.
