The need for politicians to spend money leads them to reckless development.

This is not how EU taxpayers' money should be used.

The EIB does not have its own safeguard procedures on indigenous peoples or resettlement. There is also hardly any expertise within the EIB on development issues, poverty or especially on environmentally sustainable development.

The European Commission must either reject the funding for such projects or demand major modifications.

I'm worried about the politicians trying to use the money for things that make them look good and still leave the riders holding the bag.

This is a new, exciting phase for me. I'm really looking forward to playing this stuff.
