The message is loud and clear. West Nile virus has arrived in Toronto and it's important to take precautions.

From what we know at this point, there's no evidence that the cooling tower was not properly maintained.

The outbreak is confined to residents and staff and people closely associated with this one facility, so it's not a general public health risk.
